Zenit Kazan - Lokomotiv Ekaterinburg (Highlights)

Platonov Memorial volleyball tournament, organised by the "Avtomobilist" volleyball club and the Platonov Volleyball Academy, with the support of the Yeltsin Fund. Eight teams took part in the tournament: Zenit Kazan, Belarus national team, Lokomotiv Kharkov, Isku Volley Tampere, Avtomobilist St-Petersburg, Yaroslavl Yaroslavich, Lokomotiv-Izumrud Ekaterinburg and Belogorie Belgorod. The first day of the tournament marked the one year anniversary of the death of Vyacheslav Platonov, a leading advocate of volleyball not just in Russia, but across the whole globe. It was thanks to this great man that the USSR volleyball team never lost an official tournament for a total of eight and a half seasons - an historical sporting achievement that is unlikely to ever be seen again. This tournament is being held in honour of this great trainer, whose exceptional achievements have given his name a legendary status. In match for 5th place between Zenit Kazan and Lokomotiv-Izumrud Ekaterinburg you can see players like: Alexey Kazakov and Alexander Volkov. Zenit Kazan won 3:1 (26:24, 25:23,13:25, 25:23).
