Brazil ended the Japanese team’s undefeated run to earn their 10th title in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix - becoming the team with the most victories in the premier annual women’s competition. Brazil defeated Japan in straight sets at the last hurdle - a desired result to secure the title. The Japanese squad, who had an impressive run in the Finals, settled for silver - their first medal in the competition. Meanwhile, Russia ended their World Grand Prix medal drought as they took bronze after defeating last year’s silver medallists China in the first match. Then, Turkey closed this season’s campaign in fourth place by 3-1 victory over debutants Belgium. China and Belgium finished fifth and sixth place, respectively.
