Number one in the world (2004): Brazil won all sets in semi-final match against USA national team of The Olympics 2004. Brazilian setter: Ricardo was regarded as the best setter in the volleyball history. His sets are unpredictable for the opponent team. Brazil showed their determination right from the beginning. Best player of match was Giba (he scored 14 points and got high efficiency in attack - 57%). Also Dante Amaral played nice game, he scored 15 points in three sets (55% in attack). Polish television (transmission producer during The Olympic 2004) invented TV shots from the roof (6:27). Brazil won in final Olympic games 3:1. The gold medal triumph completes a cycle where Brazil have won every trophy available on the international circuit, including the World Championship 2002, World League 2003, 2004 and World Cup 2003 titles.
