Russia - Mexico (Highlights)

Russia got a surprise in the first set from Mexico but nonetheless managed to defeat the North American side 3:1 (21:25, 25:20, 25:14, 25:17) to remain on top of the standings in Group C of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship at the Ergo Arena in Gdańsk. On the press conference, Mexico captain Carlos Guerra said: "On our side, we were very much looking forward to this match against the London 2012 Olympic gold medallists. It’s a huge honour for us. We were very much into the game in the first set as we tried to show our best. Then Russia showed its real capacity of their skills. We simply could not keep up with them. My team was hoping for at least one win in this tournament and we still have two matches to achieve it". Russia with 14 points took 1st place in Group C, when Mexico NT finished on the 5th place with 2 points (they won with Egypt 3:2).
