World Championship 2014, Group D in Kraków delivered another fantastic game that featured a phenomenal reaction by Italy to defeat France after being almost knocked out, from 0:2 to 3:2 (20:25, 20:25, 25:23, 25:13, 15:12). In the first two sets, France has dominated Italy and they deserve 2:0 lead. But, after a break of ten minutes, Italy managed to back in game. They won the third and reduced France’s lead. Ivan Zaytsev was on fire in the fourth set. The score was 15:11, for Italy and Zaytsev came on the service line. He scored five aces. Tie-break started with 2:0 for Italy, when referees kept their decision challenged by France. Mistake of French team followed second wasted challenge, giving Italy 4:0. Laurent Tillie called time-out and France managed to score 2 points. It could have been 7:10 for France, but video challenge called by Italians gave them point back. Furious Antonin Rouzier put all his power in the next attack. But it was not enough, another action belonged to Ivan Zaytsev and it was 12:7 for Italy. Later, Ivan Zaytsev was the man who saved the day!
