Canada once again claimed victory over Cuba, this time at the Norceca Men’s Champions Cup in Detroit, Michigan. The Norceca Men's Champions Cup 2015 is the first step toward 2016 Olympic Games qualification. The Champions Cup in Detroit will qualify the top two finishing teams for the FIVB World Cup (Sept. 8-23 in Japan) and from there the top two placers will qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. This is the third time that Canada and Cuba have faced each other in less than a week. Again opposite Gavin Schmitt led the scoring for Canada with 15 points. Justin Duff had 12, and came up with some big blocks for the Canucks while Toonthe Van Lankvelt added 11 points. Rolando Cepeda was the only Cuban with double digits with a match-high 24 points.

Considering the amazing result of Canada, not only in terms of partials but also in terms of points (25-22, 25-18, 25-17), and considering the fact that none of Cuban players had double digits apart from Cepeda, I think that these highlights best represent the situation of the match: in the video we can see a lot of kills by Rolando Cepeda, best scorer of the match, but the only one capable to carry on this team, which has indeed very phisical and strong players, but too young and inexperienced players in order to keep mental energies, as we have seen in World Championship 2014. From the other side of the net we can see a very well organised team, which is the best Canada team ever. In the last year we have seen good things from Canada but not amazing; this year the things look different and Canada could really compete with the best teams in the world, considering that its best attackers, Schmitt and Perrin have played very well in Turkish League, which is one of the best leagues in the world as quality of the players. Finally, I want to say thank you to the uploaders of the video, beacause of its quality and definition. I got very impressed!

@tunafish95: Canada is getting better and better each year. They have a strong future because their youth and junior teams are very strong.

I'm getting kind of sick of these all hail Canada videos which only show successful action by Canada pretty much. Still nice, would've just been nice to see some of Cuba's actions.
