Zenit Kazan beat Resovia Rzeszów in three sets (25:22, 25:23, 25:21) to seize their third title in Europe’s elite competition - they had already topped the charts in 2008 and 2012 and get the right to compete at this year's FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship scheduled for late October in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The man of the match - and top scorer with 18 points - was once again the eventual MVP of the Final Four tournament, Cuban-born Wilfredo Leon. Zenit Kazan added another chapter to Russia’s supremacy in the competition, with teams from this Volleyball stronghold having swept the last four titles in a row. This is also Russia’s seventh title in 15 years which makes this country the most successful one so far, edging well ahead of Italy that can boast five crowns. Zenit Kazan is one of only three teams – the others being Belogorie Belgorod and Trentino Volley – having won Europe’s top league for three times.

Wiilfredo Leon : There are rumours that Leon would like to get Polish citizenship and play for their national team. Is that true? “Yes, it is. I want to play for Poland, but it is difficult to say when this will happen. Rio 2016? Unfortunately I think this comes too early but maybe after the Olympics I will be able to play for the Polish national team. However, much will depend on their Volleyball Federation and whether they want to see me in their national team. Right now I am waiting for their response.”

@xandreopoulos: i just want to see him playing with a NT, better to be on one than to not be. If he plays in Poland, some people might get mad because he is not actually Polish.

@Wilfredo_is_Marshall: zenit kazan has the best players in the world.resovia hasnt either. If you remember the last years there arent so many good teams. For example last years there were cuneo, trentino(in high level),jastrebski(in high level also).Nowadays the best players in the world are in Korea and In Zentit Kazan or Belogorie Belgorod. So there arent players to antagonize layers of Kazan.I mean that resvia hasnt as money as zenit has and thats why we watched and ''easy final''

@xandreopoulos: resovia has money, just look at their youtube channel. Also, resovia has world class players but most of them sit on the bench for their NT, unlike Kazan which has many NT starters.
