Thiago Alves is just a regular player, I do not like his game. So, I think soon Brazil will face trouble in wing-spiker positions (maybe after OG'12 in London Giba and Dante move out of NT). Thiago is too much unstable, and he is not young player... and also he is like me, he's a little bit fat! I must disagree with you about Vissotto, he is a good substitute for André in this current brazilian formation. Since they are twin towers, Vissotto and Lucas put a lot of pressure over their opponents when they are in the net, blocking or attacking.

I remember Wallace from WL and Thiago of course, he was with team on Wagner's Memorial, I was actually surprised he wasn't listed for the worlds.

I totally agree with JRios. Wallace is one of the best young opposites of Brazil in the moment. He participated of Brazil NT last season on the WL. I believe Bernardinho has great plans for him in the future

One more think, if I could I would create a video about Wallace (Sada's Opposite - jersey #8) he is a cuban's style brazilian... in my opinion soon he will be second opposite in Brazilian NT (or 1st).

Hey guys, let me tell you why William probably was not in Brazilian NT. He belongs to same Ricardo Garcia generation! So, which setter could fight with Ricardo, and before him Maurício, for one position on NT? After OG'04 maybe he could fight for the 2nd position with Marcelo, but he maybe was not prepared at that time.

Riad with his disposition now wouldn't has a chance for NT this season in my opinion. After knee injury he didn't back to his great shape.

And about short setters and good blockers - Pierre Pujol If France would be in the best four in Final of World League in 2007 he could probably take prize for the best blocker, I say probably cause I can't remember what was the different between his points in block and winner. He was always quite high in the best blockers ranking.

brasil have many players play in all the places of planet and seriously , if the NT whose maybe 16 players and not 12 there are more chances to go , but not play . play in the starter formation of brasil is a privilege .man like Samuel Funch , the middle Blocker Henrique , Andre Nascimento and Rivaldo are out of NT only because are others more good than they . if rodrigao go out this year i think the third central would be Riad , i like this player , but I dont know Rodrigao is a Star Player he conquest almost all the important competition with brasil he is famous , like Giba and Sergio Dutra . but this problem in his club , i think bernardinho is not happy whit this.
