I can't wait!!
And since the last two final in Palalottomatica ended clearly 3:0, I hope this time it will be a thrilling 3-2 final!!
Even if we say "there isn't 2 without 3", I hope this isn't the case!

The first tournament of Berruto was the WL, and there Bira played titoular.
Later (at the beginning of the EC - Buti was titoular with Mastro - and in the WC) Berruto chosed other options.
That made me think that firstly Berruto wanted to trust in Bira, but THEN he realized he coudln't and look for other options. Imo is Bira that didn't show that he deserved to be trusted (and that's way Berruto lost the faith in him).
I'm sorry about that feeling I have about the "italian" Bira, because as I said before with Trento he is a wonderful player.
Also Anastasi at the WCH started with Bira titoular, than preferred Sala. In Trento is the opposite, Trento was consider better than Sala...

I agree with your word Raylight, expecialli in your first post! Is the "air" of Trento that give confident to everyone, expecially in serve imo, is insane that they make so few mistakes and so many aces!
But the thing of the "standard" rapresented by Fei and Mastro doesn't fit imo, because it was true also in the WL where he was titoular with Buti...
BTW, I agree with you pearl, Travica has a part in it, and the proof of it is that his feeling with Buti is defintly higher, but at the same time if Mastro, Fei, even Barone when he had the chance can play well with Travica (not to mention Staknovic, Pajenk, Podraskanin...) we have to assume that Bira is responsable "biggest" part.
Actually Mastro is another history because he is really good in making point (also with tips) with awful sets

Nice movie, raylight!
But you forgot the serve, I think Birarelli has one of the annoyinf float serve of the Italian Championship
BTW, about the player, I have a problem with Bira: I like him in Trento, but not in the NT. With Italy, sometimes he seems lost to me. Travica is not very precise, and that doesn't help (I mean, they don't have a nice 'intesa'), but more than once happened that he committed few errors in a row (or was blocked)... and when he start playing quite badly he rarely can get out of that pshicological tough situation. I mean, exept for the serve and sometimes for the block I rarely found my self thinking "what a brillant match Bira played".
But with Trento he defintly take advantages (in a good way) of the selfcofidence that the whole Trento trasmitt. With Trento more than once he gave me the impression of being brillant.
What to you think about that?

O.O
Fortunally it was 24-14, I can't imagine what would have happened if it was like 24-23, 24-22...

At the end the commentator said "It's important for you to think match after match, right? The season is so hard that this is the only way to keep focusing"
Think that Macerata three days after the 1/8 of the Italian Cups ( that means today, live on sportube at 20.00!) will play vs Macerata, then the 1st vs Cuneo at home for the CL, then on Sunday vs Cuneo in Cuneo for the Italian Championship, then again vs Cuneo in Cuneo for the CL, then vs Vibo (fortunally in Macerata, not in Vibo that is far for every teams), then ITALIAN CUP semifinal and may be final etc etc.... O________O Insane!!
At least they don't have to go out of Italy for the CL...

very nice movie! I like it, and as always I can't thank you enough for picking italian players to make movies
Now, my consideration about Dragan...
It is strange, because in Italy I saw people that adore him, or that don't like him.
I remember that before the WL I commented to a friend that I didn't like him much, and she answered that, instead, she did. Now is the opposite xD
I think - to mention a difect - he lacks of precision, at least in confront to Valerio (because in confront to Boninfante Dragan is THE precision xD). And I guess that's is what who wants Valerio back complain the most.
But he has many other qualities, and imo he fits well in Italian NT. And also in Macerata!
He is a fighter, and has a great enthusiasm. We all now how important his the attitude for a player, expecially if he is the setter. And that make him a quite good diggers, considering he is 2.00m tall.
He is usually enough lucid, I honestly like enough his distribuition. May be he overuses the opposite (or Savani) and sometime doesn't use enough the MBs, (other difect) but I noticed that he is improving a lot from this point of view. Having good MB in the team defintly helps.
Yesterday more than 30% of the sets were to MB. And I like his pipe too!
He is smart. He can do effective second touch, both "fast" touches and tips. He can attack.
He has a very effective serve, scoring many aces and putting the other team in trouble. It's not rare that he stays long on a serve run.
He is defintly helpful in block. It's a very useful thing not having a "hole" in the first line. And more than once he prevent the other team to smash a ball when we received on the other court, blocking it.
The last three points can be sinthetize as "he brings points and can create trouble the the opponents". Something that it's always useful!!!
And now he also has a plus, he is playing the whole season with two of our 4 OH, may be even 3 of 4, if we count Kovar
And with a very good coach, imo
