What every single player must know that play for the National Team is more than an oportunity, it's an duty, and have its responsabilities. Vanity is something that should be avoided in all sports.

I believe that the stregnth of brazilian team is the team spirit. For sure, there are lots of qualities and also discipline in the brazilian players, but for me the team spirit is the most striking feature. I do have no seen individual vanity in the players, and when some player seems to be too much vain it is removed of national team (as setter Ricardo was).

Klosz, thanks for the compliments to our players and national team. Poland is very strong too, in fact , I admire very much your players and most of all, the way you guys do love volleyball... I will never forget the World League finals of 2001 (Katowice). I had never seen in my life such a celebration in a gymnasium, amazing volleyball fans...
The good thing about having the most important players at the same team is that they know each other very well and this makes the work in the national team much more easier, since nobody has enough time to practice.

I belive brazilian league must be strong if brazilia team is still the best in the world and top of the brazilian players play in that league. It's clear. In Poland top of the polish players play in Skra Bełchatów so... it has effect that Skra won polish league 6 time in a row. I wish so much polish league was a little bit more unpredictable.

Guys, if you allow me , I would like to say a few words about Brazilian League . I guess things are getting better now, this season we had the return of our most important players and this fact really improved the level of the league , I mean ,the matches were spetacular. Most of the matches were broadcasted in cable TV but we had every saturday at least one match broadcasted in a free TV channel (Bandeirantes). I know this is not enough, but I hope things will be even better in the future

WHat is absolutely necessary to play football?:
Neither a ball is necessary, as you can play alone with a fur ball, a small rock or with a crusehd canister.

But try to do the same with Volleyball
First of all, impossible to play alone, need a net, a nice fitted ball type, and of course, some where suitable to play.

@NightFox...I agree with you but you don't have information about our other sport disciplines, so this is only 50%...It's true - we have really good league, but like almost every country in the world sport nr1 is football...we have perfect handball team (last two world championships: 2-nd & 3-rd place) but league is less in ranking than volley...For me and for others users here sport nr1 is volleyball but for majority in our counrty no - is very popular and people likes go to watch them playing, but football is football...

I agree with RenanZ . It's the same way in Bulgaria ... I think in Poland the volleyball is sport No 1 and you're gadering sponsors from all over europe and u can afford to buy verry good players. Most of your good players are playing in your leage ... that's verry nice for the country . Because all of our national team are playing abroad (Italy, Russia,Greece). There is the diference ...

You didn't understood me, but this is my foult...I think the polish league is more equal than greece...i mean more teams can do similar level. I know than this is a new ranking but ranking is about last 4 years...Look Greek's have a really nice team in each season: Iraklis or Olympiakos or PAO but in this same season no...and i think Skra is better team than them...they are without form now but they have better squad...so this is my point of view. That's the actual ranking. The top teams of the Greek league are better for sure, because they qualify to finals quite often. Only international matches can verify the real value of each league

Yes but that was our opinions - no CEV ranking...Greece have less quality teams than Italy, Russia, Poland...I'm not sure but CEV ranking is about last 4 years (only European Cups)...so in my opinion PLS is stronger than Greece league

Our league is Very strong too !!
BUT, I must be honest, it is too away from the most of the Europe's Leagues, specially from the Poland League.

Considering the quality and skills of the players, they're balanced, but the similarity stops there.

The divulgations and the count of champs and events related to Volleyball are still to shy comparing with other sports. To exemplify, the only time when you're able to see a Volleyball Game in the free TV Channels (not cable) are with the National Team or the Final Match, rarely the semi-final, from the National League.


In this kind of scenario, we can say that, to be a Volleyball's Fan in Brazil is a little bit hard task. !!!

Italian League -> Russian League -> Polish League -> Greece and Turkey League

This is TOP 5 League in Europe in my opinion. I don't know the Brazilian League too much because I don't have an opportunity to watch but I think that she is equal with Polish League
