USA earned a victory over Thailand 3:1 (25:21, 25:18, 23:25, 25:16) to celebrate their second win in Group H. USA coach Karch Kiraly said: "We are always impressed to play against Thailand as they work very hard to gain every point. They do not have the tallest or the strongest players but they have a lot to be proud of and have a lot to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed playing with them. We wish them success in the rest of the games".
