This is true, the guy is not a silky smooth attacker but the reality is he is there for reception, defense and stability and that is what he does best. Come on people, we all know volleyball enough to understand that this is a positional game and that top level reception players like Antiga are more difficult to find then guys that can crush 20 pts in a match. The fine art of a natural reception like this guy has is not easy to find and that is why he is one of the most heavily sought after reception players in the world like Giba, Dante, Priddy etc.... There is a reason why he is playing on this great team for i think 3 years and not in Russia, Italy or other places where he has easily been recruited. This is one of the best or simply the best volleyball team to play for professionally and Antiga knows this or he wouldnt be there for this long. Enjoy life, be happy and keep in mind that at the end of the day, this is still a game so have fun doing it because when we are all old and fat, the glory days are over!

Now in the european championship he won the trophy for BEST RECEIVER, I remember in the Worldchampionship 2002 when he won the trophy for best Defence in the competition and I am sure he won a lot more trophys, ah and he started playing volleyball with 17 years old, he played tennis before.So look If he does it all why are you speaking so 'bad' about him? well i want it known i have NOTHING against polish volleyball, ive dated a girl with the last name czlapinski and she was as polish as it gets. i just feel that his approach is sloppy and his arm swing isnt nearly as strong as most americans and especially brazilians. i got nothing to say about his serve recieve tho, im just critiqueing his front row abilities. i agree with all the canadians, brazillians and portugese that have commented.

The guy is probably one of the most stable reception players in the world if not the best. Attacking is effiecient although not spectacular but the reality is this guy is not playing on this team to be the main point scorer. He does his job and does it very well. Volleyball is not a game of only scoring points as we all know and in a league like Poland where you have very good middles probably some of the best in the world then reception is key! His stability in attack is also more important to this club then having him score an extra 4-5 points a match if he was a higher risk attacker. Summary: Antiga is good attacker, great in reception and stable but the song still sucks. I cant believe they used Shes a maniac for his song. Give this guy something manly!

He's very good in my opinion. I noticed that guys from the Americas criticise almost everything which is linked with Polish Volleyball. By the way I'd rather have in my country week, but lucky players, who win a lot of games by luck, than very good players, who defeat in critical moments, and get only 4th places (like Russians).

Yes ugly form, not the best hitter to watch, but he's still pretty effective, and is better at dirty tips and wiping off the block than most players.
