Jung Jiseok scored 19 points to lead Korea to a victory against the Czech Republic on the first day of the World League 2017 in Group A2. Hochul Kim, coach of Korea said: "The players played better than I expected. We watched the Czech Republic playing at the European Championship while they were seeing us for the first time. Jiseok Jung and Kang-Won Lee played in the match better than they played at practice. Slovenia are a strong team and Finland also have tight teamwork. I was worried that we might not win even one game, and I am amazed that we were able to gain victory in our first match."
