Serbia defeated USA 3:1 in their opening World League game in front of a raucous home crowd in Novi Sad. Marko Ivovic aced four times for a total of 17 points in the game. Uros Kovacevic added 15 points for the winning team. Sander Taylor was the best player in the American side with 13 points on his tally. His teammate Clark Carson added another 11 points.
