Russia - Serbia (World League 2014, 2nd match)

Russia beat Serbia on Saturday evening 3:0 (25:19, 27:25, 25:20) to secure the second place in Group B in front of the white-blue-red crowd of the DS Energetik in Surgut. Russia were led by Dmitriy Muserskiy with 14 points, while Aleksandar Atanasijević scored 24 points for Serbia. Again, away team managed to play only one close set. This time it was the second one, but Dimitriy Muserskiy destroyed all Serbian hopes. Firstly with strong spike, and then with an ace which doubled the lead in sets. Therefore squad of Andrey Voronkov had its revenge. Russians left Serbia with only one point a month ago, but now they collected the full package and reached second place in Group B. Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic said: "We had our chance to win the second set and at the beginning of the third set, but Russia were impressive with their serves and defence".
