Russia - Serbia (World League 2013, 1st match)

Russia without three important players played yesterday's match against Serbia. Maxim Mikhaylov and Dmitriy Muserskiy stayed at home. Sergey Grankin not entered the court. The hosts won all sets in the first of their two of World League meetings of the weekend. Just the first set was interesting. Andrey Voronkov's team won the opening set (29:27). Russia totally dominated all offensive elements of volleyball in the next sets. They won the second set (25:14) and the last set (25:20). Top scorer of match was Nikolay Pavlov, who scored 16 points - 11 spikes, 1 block and 4 aces. Great match of Alexey Spiridonov. Russian wing-spiker scored 14 points (61% in attack). Aleksandar Atanasijević was Serbia's top scorer with 14 points. Both teams will meet again on at 17:00 (GMT+1) in Kaliningrad (15.06.2013).
