Russia - Serbia (full match)
Tijana Boskovic contributed 27 points to Serbia’s 3-2 (22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-23, 15-12) win over Russia in the second round of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup at the Sendai Gymnasium on Monday. The Russians went down with their first loss in the tournament after winning six consecutive matches. Russian captain Nataliya Obmochaeva finished with 27 points. Russia scored more blocks and aces than the Serbians, but the latter outscored them in attacks. Serbia coach Zoran Teic said: "Congratulations to my team. We won against a strong opponent. We lost the first two sets. It is tough to beat Russia three sets in a row. We played without courage in the first two sets. We just started to play well in the third set. We took off from there and won. Tijana Malesevic played well today."
