Fei's original role was MB. He was "forced" to change his role about 10 years ago, when Sartoretti decided to leave NT and we hadn't an opposite to replace him. So Fox was asked if he wanted to try playing as opposite. And he said "okay, I can try"! Let's say it was a sort of experiment...and it worked 'cause from that moment on Alessandro has been an opposite, leaving his MB period at his back. I haven't completely understood Berruto's choice in calling him back in his original spot for current WC, but that's the thing right now!

i prefer traditional Italy whit Fei as opposite and Bira/Mastro as MB

Interesting to see Fei as MB. Apparently Italy and Fei copying Russia and Muserskiy, who played as an opposite as well. Look how that turned out!

yes, i Konw that he has played as a MB but last few seasons he plays as a opposite- and he makes sometime more than 25 points in one match- than I can not understand :-)

Kjeldhor: I think we already discussed this topic thoroughly in the thread about Berruto's list for WC. I think it's a mistery no-one will ever disclose

proud: don't worry! Take all the time you need, there's no hurry! I've a lot of patience and I can wait

i really can't understand why Fox as MB... he played as opposit in the last 7-8 years, and we have some good MB ...

No matter how many mistakes the opponent makes,Russia rarely wins the 1st set, that's like a rule
I'll try to upload whatever I can find, however,I have stuff to do,too,so a little patience on your guys part would be awesome

To be honest: Mastrangelo played nothing. Fei MB post sux. Positive emotion from Savani serves and Mr. Lasko , Oh yeah saved team from disaster.

Russia: Mikhaylov owned with Apalikov. Muserskiy burned in the beginning. Denis played very well e.g. from second half of the match. Tetyukhin played with his current shape.

Thanks proud for uploading the match...you know, it was a terrible effort for me to wake-up at 7:00 on Sunday, so I missed the first set and the beginning of the second I hope you'll upload also the following matches of the Azzurri 'cause from tomorrow on I have to go to work so I won't have the chance of watching any live streamings
About the match: pretty weird that we won the 1st set which was the one we played worst!! And then, too many mistakes (on serve mainly)!! In watching the match again, I must say that the game was pretty balanced on the whole (as the score of sets proves: 25-22; 22-25;22-25;21-25) and the difference was made by mistakes in both teams. At the end of the day I must confess I'm not so disappointed after all or at least I'm not so disappointed as I was this morning just after the match: our guys struggled hard and their opponent were strong!! So, let all be confident Italian friends...they can improve a lot!!
