Poland’s champions Resovia Rzeszów stopped on Tuesday night the terrific winning streak of Knack Roeselare claiming a 3:1 victory (22:25, 25:17, 25:20, and 25:18) in the first round of the Play-offs 1/12 after Knack had swept all of their matches in preliminary group G of the Champions League 2013/14. The game was attended by 4,500 fans at the Podpromie sports hall who had come together to support the home heroes and also follow the actions of Knack, one of the real revelations of this year’s Champions League. Hendrik Tuerlinckx top scored in the game with 24 points for Knack. Aleh Akhrem (Resovia) scored 21 points. " am very happy with this victory especially as we came back after losing the first set", Akhrem said after the game. "We are one step away from making the Playoffs 6 but we know that next week in Roeselare we will have to play even better than we did tonight.
