Poland won Hubert Jerzy Wagner’s Memorial 2009 and already showed a good shape before the upcoming European Championship. Match between Poland and Italy. One of such tournaments was organised in Łódź. It was a memorial dedicated to Hubert Wagner who was the most outstanding coach in Polish volleyball history, but it also was the last test before European Championship 2009. For sure this tournament was an important step for both coaches and players and helped them to find out what are the most important factors to work on at the moment. In the last match of Memorial the Poland defeated Italy 3:1. MVP of tournament was Bartosz Kurek. Cristian Savani was best spiker and Matey Černić was best receiver. Team of Daniel Castellani played good game. Polish national team, few months later won European Championship in izmir. Other sets of that match in the related movies.
