About 7000 fans were in attendance at Sportpaleis Ahoy in Rotterdam as the flying Dutchwomen added another chapter to their success story hoping now to repeat what their countrywomen did back in 1995 as they won on home soil the only European crown for the Netherlands to date. "It was an incredible fight, this match had everything. We even saved the impossible balls, it feels so good. The Turkish team have won so much already and today we beat them 3:0. It is an incredible and true achievement of our group", said the Dutch captain Maret Balkestein-Grothues.
