Yesterday's battle between Russia and Poland. Sborna have failed to reach the podium in their last 7 world-level tournaments but they now have a golden opportunity to put that right. Another victory over the United States in Group B will take them through to the semi-finals.
What a match! France comes back from 1:2 down to defeat Brazil 3:2 (22:25, 25:20, 21:25, 25:22, 15:13) to start the VNL Finals on a winning note & to send home happy their fans in Lille! Boyer did the business for Les Bleus, scoring 22 spikes and 3 blocks in a wonderful individual performance, while Ngapeth (23 points) and Nicolas Le Goff (8 points) were a classy support cast with the latter particularly prominent as a blocker.

Brazil bounce back from Wednesday's loss to defeat Serbia 3:0 (25:16, 28:26, 25:19) to get their 1st win at the VNL Finals in Lille! Wallace had 17 to lead Brazil in the win!
