Fabian Drzyzga has played in Resovia Rzeszów since 2013/14 season. For 4 years, he won the Plusliga (2014/15) and 2 vice-champions of Poland (2013/14 & 2015/16). He also got the silver medal and was awarded 'Best setter' in Champions League 2014/15. Next season, great setter leaves Resovia and will go abroad for the first time in his career.
It was the very last game of Krzysztof Ignaczak in Polish national team. He played for Poland for 16 years (1998-2014), 321 matches for the national team, while he has won plenty of trophies along the way, including World Champion 2014, European Champion 2009, a gold medalist of the World League 2012, silver medalist of the World Cup 2011, six-time Polish Champion (2005, 2006, 2007, 2012, 2013, 2015) and English Champion 2017.
A good share of the world’s best players took to the court of PalaLottomatica this past weekend to fight for the most coveted crown in men’s Volleyball. Zenit Kazan emerged victorious in the end - thus netting their fifth Champions League title, and third in a row. The Russian ‘armada’ contributed with as many as three players to the Final Four Dream Team, including Most Valuable Player Maxim Mikhaylov.
Mikhaylov scored as many as 33 points in two matches and his performance was literally outstanding in the gold medal match against hosts Sir Safety Perugia where he piled up 19 points to lead the way for Zenit Kazan. Maxim showed once again his qualities of all-rounder and added one extra accolade to an already impressive resume. The 202 cm tall opposite hitter has been playing with Zenit Kazan for many years already and has chiefly contributed to each of the last four Champions League titles claimed by the team from the Republic of Tatarstan.
Maximilian Thaller is 23 years old setter from Austria who currently plays in SK Posojilnica AICH/DOB (Austria).
Marcin Wika still impresses in Plusliga. He joined to Espadon Szczecin in that season. Wika scored 175 points in all matches. He was in starting six of Polish national team just in season 2008. He came to national team in January 2008 after amazing season (he was in the best shape of his life) in AZS Częstochowa.
Now he play as libero! Icon of Polish volleyball in 1996-2008. He is a participant of the Olympic Games Athens 2004, Greek Champion and three-time Polish Champion.
Cucine Lube Civitanova won the second final round game in 5 sets. Top scorers in teams: Stokr Jan (Trentino) 27 pts and Osmany Juantorena (Civitanova) 25 pts.

The best actions of Luca Vettori who is one of the best opposite in Italian national team. He was silver medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics and at the 2013 European Championship, and two times bronze medalist in the World League (2013, 2014).
Srecko Lisinać made a huge accomplishment in his career as he started playing relatively late. The first invitation for the junior national team came as a surprise, but as it turned out it was a right decision of the staff. Srećko was playing in VC “Ribnica” from Kraljevo before transferring to SKRA Belchatow in Poland three years ago. After a short move to Berlin, Germany, he is back in Belchatow. He was one of the best blockers in the Serbian National Championship – “Wiener Städtische Superleague”. In 2011 he won bronze at the Junior Men’s World Championship. The invitation for the senior men’s team came three 4 years ago and Lisinac grabbed this opportunity firmly with both hands. He won bronze medal at the 2013 European Championship, where he was named the best blocker of the competition. Also, he won silver at the 2013 U-23 World Championship in Brazil. In the World League he booked 4 seasons, and won silver medal last year.
Nikola Jovović is a young and promising setter. He was playing for VC „NIS Vojvodinа“ from Novi Sad, before he moved to “VfB Friedrichshafen” in Germany. Now he playes in Monza, in Italy. He made some notable results playing in the younger categories of the Serbian national team. Nikola Jovović masterminded the play of the Youth Boys National Team of Serbia in their triumphant quests at the 2009 European Championship (silver) and the 2009 World Championship (gold). With the junior men’s team he won bronze at the 2011 World Championship. Nikola was officially named the Best Setter at the 2009 Youth European Championship in Rotterdam. Jovović got Nikola Grbić’s playing uniform (no. 9), which is very significant and important for this kid who looks up to his idol, who has been coaching him for couple of years now in the national team. He played 4 seasons in the World League and won silver medal last year.
