In match against France, Mirzajanpour Mojtaba didn't helped the team like he always do this, he scored only 3 points. France defeated Iran 3:2 (25:20, 25:23, 22:25, 19:25, 15:9) to capture first place in Group G of the World Championship at Spodek Arena in Katowice. The victory earned France a ticket to the semifinals for the second time in the history of the quadrennial competition.
