Michał Kubiak is fantastic player and this is fantastic movie. One of my favorites.

I don't know exactly why, but Kubiak in the game reminds me Dante, which btw is his volleyball idol.
And some people pay to much attention on numbers, what in game like v-ball has no sense for me.

Roninho, you know how much I like Kubiak. He’s a solid all-around player. Once Winiarski’s health was affected by those injuries he suffered at A1, it’s important Poland having a substitute. IMO, Kubiak can go even further. Players like him bring balance to the team, consistency. In Portuguese we have a volleyball expression called “volume de jogo” that can’t be translated into English, but means a player or a squad who can deal with all kind of game situation, having a sophisticated repertoire and lots of ball control. That’s Kubiak, my favourite Polaco player.

Czilikd, I’m from Iceland – I play bass in Björk’s band. Yes, I know you’re not a kid. Again, don’t trust every stats you see. I had a good laugh recently at some useless topics about wing spikers and setters based on irrelevant stats.

@HCLT and Michal about Wlazły I wrote what I saw on NT site 366cm-before olympic 2008 after they claims 362 know SKRA claims 360. About 372cm It was old data as I said from 2005 If you want the prove give me email and I send you copy of page where it is. Michal I have actually 90cm vertical so I know what means 120cm and how hard is increase vertical and get good level So I'm waiting for your emails "Braziliaco and Polaco- kid". Comparing Poles’ vertical to Cubans’ is nonsense. No other team average vertical can be compared to Cuba, and if that was a solution Cuba would be multi-champion.

I saw Wlazly playing live several times and, though he’s a high flyer, that number claimed by our colleague Czilikd is unreal.

BTW, hope we can see more of Kubiakaaaaa soon here on v-movies. Great player! Congrats on the attempt to the movie maker, but this one is really short.

@czilikd I have to worry you as I watch Wlazły from the beginning of his career. I'm also afraid you don't know how a 120+ vertical looks like. By the way his block reach would be any higher than commonly known 343cm if his spike reach was 10cm higher back then. It's also annoying everything you do (not only here but on other volleyball forums) is pointing polish player's reaches (especially Kurek's) and exaggerating them. Volleyball is something more, you claimed to be a volleyball player so open your eyes.

@raylight I would say more nimble and slender Todorov seems to reach higher than Nowakowski in both block and spike, although it's not a drastic difference. They are in the same very narrow group of highest reaching players.

Raylight you do realise Todorov isn't Pole? I'd say Todorov and Nowakowski both have similar spike height. Dunno about block. But why bringing Teodor to our discussion? oO

@Michal please watch Wlazły's matches before 2006. Also I have a v-ball magazine from 2005 which excatly claims Wlazły's 372cm spike and 343 block and 77kg. @ raylight some of people says Nowakowski can reach 380-390cm I don't know is it true but he has the highest reach from all polish players.

Michal, you saw both players - Nowakowski and Todorov, can you compare them in terms of spike and block height? I'll be biased so I won't do it

Well just because someone's reaching 350 doesn't mean he's jumping high (Możdżonek). But yeah - I totally forgot about Wlazły

Wlazly's standing reach is 250cm so no way he's ever had a 122cm vertical. About Nowakowski- he's the highest reaching polish player ever.

@NXT: Wlazły(out of NT)his the best reach was 372cm, before IO 2008 366cm (NT data). Nowakowski (probably one of the highest reach on this position); Bartman 363cm, Świderski 354cm (hight 193cm); Kurek 375cm; Czarnowski in JW reached 365cm; Gołaś 365cm( max 375cm). Also once I heard about young guy in seccond or first polish leauge 188cm hight and reach 360cm but I can't remind his name. Also we have yung players in PLS like Ferens 351cm hight 193cm, Łukasik (he is real monster in his age 1994, 100kg, reach 353 cm). So we have players with great phisical abilities and planty of them with reach 350cm and something
