Ok you have different point of view :) Hockey is about money to put to our child in earlier age, this is fact. Football - everybody know to kick to ball, raising child is pretty easy: one ball and kicking on goal int he age of 3,4,5,6, but 3 year child never hits volleyball ball or learning basically moving. This is the easiest point to play football and I played football too, every guy (maybe not every girl) play football, but volleyball is something different, something hard. Yes and guys you have absolutelly true. But many many fans have football to their primary sport, because football is easy to play. And high management or high politician are simply amateur footballer :) I admire Poland, that they have volley no 1 sport. I wish to see this in SLovakia, but I wish too much.

Because football is simply sport. There aren't complicated rules. People don't have to much think and analyze during the match. Volleyball is more sophisticated sport, that needs some intelligent to understand it. This all tactics things, players on specified positions etc. aren't noticed by most people because it needs thinking. In football and others team sport is easier to create big stars (for example players, who kicks the most) and people love individualities.

Berny,if you ask me,I don't have idea why football is so popular sport generally in the world.former Czechoslovakia has a very big tradition in volleyball,and I think also that similar situation with volleyball is in the Czech republic at the moment.But it is very important thing,that something moving on in case of volleyball in Slovakia.

Prske you have right. This is result of fans in sports. Football - 2000 people, Ice hockey 3000people, Volleyball - 200 people per match(57000 citizens we have). These clubs play the high level competition, but football have e.g. 50years tradition in high level, icehockey 40years and volleyball had, but 20years was deaf, so only low level competition and now finally after 20 years our volley club plays high level competition, but only 2 years and our results are in the end of league schedule. In football and hockey matches, they have buffets and beer and sausages, but in volley matches is nothing to eat, NO MARKETING, NO advertisement. I think many town have these problem, but we know about that and nothing is change. And I dont want to compare football and volleyball like a sports. It has no point.

Berny,I was very surprised,positive of course with Slovakia in ECH this year,especially with Lukas Divis,Masny,Kohut,Milan Bencz...But,I think that in Slovakia sport number 1 is hockey.

Yeah volleyball is popular and have tradition in almost every bigger town. But in my town (9th most popular city 57000 citizens) isnt a city club, but project name Centre of olympic prepare (COP) under Slovak volley federation, therefore better players have no chance to join. 25kms is a small town (maybe 10000 citizens) and there it is. They have club. But, travelling by train every day 50kms equal and money money to travel. Training starts at 19:00 and if i havent a car. I could come back after 23:30. SO i dont have a chance. And next club is situated 100km from my town. This is so unjustice. I admire every Polish, Bulgarian, Brazilian, simply every player, because you have opportunities. Yeah popular in 10-15 town. 10 clubs played highest level league and 6-10 low level league. Shame on this system. Everywhere I hear futball, icehockey but volleyball is dead in my country. I feel that boys :( And I read that volleyball is second playable sport on the planet. But wheeeere? not in my country. Proud with federation, I dont think so, I am just sad and unahappy, but if i really want to play volleyball in profi level, I can try Bratislava or Czech republic (Prague), but my life conditions not allowed me to make a big decision and I am old to play in a good club. But anyway thanks to support me and wish all of you the best in volleyball lives and personal too Prske: we have now the best generation in history, therefore we finished 5th, but time goes by and everything will change. And I am sorry that I ruined discussion about Metodi Ananiev

@Berny - if sport teaches you anything is to never give up!I really admire your determination and hope things work out for the best with you :) It's such a shame that volleyball is getting more popular and there are people like you ready to devote their lives to it and their federations(or whatever organizations) are killing their dreams...

Berny I was thinking that volleyball is popular in Slovakia,especially after good games of Slovakian NT in ECH this year.

Proud this is for me like a bible. I live with volleyball. My motto is: "volleyball is not only a game, is a lifestyle" and I am totally addicted on volleyball. QUite sad for me, that in our town I cant play volleyball in profi level. In our town is project organising under slovak volley federation, so not everybody can join this team. This team is not simply local or urban? (i dont know this word, just city doesnt own this club), so therefore I played only on amateur level, but maybe in the future (I have 26, so getting old) I will play professional, not for money, for free but I want to fulfill my dream. Too bad, that I didnt born in Poland or just in volleyball country. Its a shame for me.

Yes.. in less then a week i am going to have a surgery and it is suck because this year i play in a serious and i was the best spiker of my team...

@prske,a lot of Bulgarians support your opinion :) I wish Bratoev would get the chance to work for that spot,but it's ultimately not up to us fans.

great player.in my opinion he is a better receiver than Aleksiev,and I think it's better for Bulgarian NT to play Ananiev in pair with Kaziyski:)

it happened during the match with Trefl Gdańsk. Injury of knee ligaments. 9 months of the rehabilitation. AZS Olsztyn is without chance of the high level of the game without this GUY.
