He began his career playing as a wing-spiker but John Sparew changed his position into spiker. Matt found himself in the role. USA won that game 3:1, but they will go home after this round. After game against Italy national team, Matthew said: "I really think more and more about playing in Poland. I think that when I have offers from Polish club, I will sit down and consider the possibility. Poland loves volleyball and maybe one day Matt Anderson will be part of it".
