Lokomotiv won incredible final of Champions League in that season! Team from Novosibirsk in two matches created a marvelous spectacle on the highest level. After winning Champions League, two players of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk were chosen for an individual awards (Alexander Butko, Marcus Nilsson). Lokomotiv was led by Denis Biryukov (he scored 31 points in two matches) and Marcus Nilsson who deservedly gained the most valuable player title.

I would say Lokomotiv was led not only by Biryukov and Nilsson, Lucas Divis impressed me too...he was pretty amazing in the final
