An easy victory for Brazil in the 3rd round of the World Grand Champions Cup. They won over Japan with the score of 3:0 (25:17; 25:23; 25:18) in 1 hours and 22 minutes. For this match Brazil had a change in the starting six: Lipe came to court to replace Ricardo Lucarelli. And Lipe was the top scorer of Brazil with 12 points. Some words of the coach Bernardo Rezende: "Brazil was brillant on the first set. We served well, played tatically very well, defended very well. On the second set, Japan had served very well and that was complicated to us. On the third set we made a lot of mistakes, specially in the beggining and this can't happen on the next matches, against Russia and Italy". The libero Mario Jr was considered the MVP of the match: " The japanese never give up, so we knew it wouldn't be an easy match for us. Even if they are several points behind, they try everything they can and celebrate all the time".
