About to enter its fifth year of life, Volleyball Canoas officially presented the team of the 2016/17 season on Thursday (28), in the gymnasium La Salle Poliesportivo, where they send the matches of the Super League and Campeonato Gaúcho. The event was attended by coach Marcelo Fronkowiak and his coaching staff, athletes, sponsors, supporters and supporters.
"It is with great pride that I present this team for the fifth season in a row. We show everyone that this is a long-lasting, consistent and successful project. We are going even stronger for the new season, seeking to raise bigger flights, "commented the Director of Institutional Relations of Volleyball Canoas, Almir Beltrame.
The presentation ceremony also featured a homage to libero Jeffe, one of the symbols of the project. The player, who decided to retire from the courts, won a banner symbolizing the shirt 14, in reference to the number that used in the four seasons in which he defended the Canoes Volleyball.
In 2016/17, the Gaucho team will have the Alison, Composto, Alisson Melo, Gabriel and Giovani da Col hands; Yan, Felipe and Evandro lifters; Thomaz and German opposites; Liberos Thales and Pallotti, besides the central Ialisson, Maicon, Giovanni and Jonathan.
