Brankica Mihajlovic scored 16 points to power Serbia's 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-22) win over the Dominican Republic in the second round of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup at the Sendai Gymnasium on Sunday. Mihajlovic had an excellent all-around game with 12 spikes, two blocks and two service aces. Jovana Stevanovic added 12 points for Serbia, while Yonkaira Paola Pena Isabel top scored for Dominican Republic with 13 points. Serbia coach Zoran Terzic said: "We have played well in this competition. I am not satisfied with how we played today. We were up and down. We need to play better. We have tough games coming against Russia and Japan. We must play at a higher level than today. The Dominicans served better in the final set."
