Dominican Republic defeated regional rivals Cuba 3:1 in the first round of the Women's World Cup at the Yoyogi National Stadium on Wednesday. On the press conference, Dominican Republic coach Marco Kwiek said: "We won the three points and that is important especially as Cuba are our regional rivals for the Olympic qualification. I don't think we played that well even though we won. We have to keep studying for our matches with Cuba."
