With this victory, Trentino Volley finished the regular season on the 1st position with 62 points. Matey Kaziyski (MVP) with 16 points and Filippo Lanza with 17 were the top scorers in the winning side, while it is also important to mention that Mitar Djurić was in the roster of Trentino and that he scored 2 points in his first game with the new team. Copra is out of play-off's, but the fans are more worried about the future than about the present… Because, this game might have been the last for the famous club. Piacenza has a lot of financial problems, and no one can be sure if the club will compete in the next season, but the local fans showed that the city still breathes together with the team. At the end of the game, fans rewarded players with standing ovations, big applause and with a message - "This is not the end of the road". Hristo Zlatanov on the press conference said: "What have we won? (smile) We somehow managed to play until the end, honoring the league. We are pleased and proud, because we came to this last match, despite all the problems. Fans have been with us along the whole road, from the first game to the last. I want to thank them because they are part of this club and part of this city. I hope we will all continue the adventure with Piacenza, and that we will meet here again in August".

Emanuel Kohut played very strong game and made it hard for Trentino to close with 33:31

@Niamek: middle was his original position and oppo is his new position which he only played for two and a half seasons. He played middle for 5 seasons and won numerous awards with teams when playing as a middle. 2 and a half years is too short of a period of time to become as good as Mikhaylov, Miljkovic, Stokr, etc. See you can see here he played middle: http://youtu.be/zljZ2TmToi8 (Btw, this is a good match because there are so many stars in the match).

@Wilfredo_is_Marshall: Yeah from that angle, I agree. But maybe he is good as a universal player like Alessandro Fei?

@Niamek: yes thats a good point. I know he played both, but does he switch on and off between positions? If he doesnt, then the answer is that he has been playing volleyball longer and he made the switch to another position and has had more time to hone his craft. I dont really know his history, but it would be intresting to compare all his season results when he played middle vs. oppo. (Hypothesis.: NT and club team had better results when he played middle)

Update: researched a bit and found that he played in A1 in '95/'96 through '03/'04 as a middle. He made to switch to oppo. the next season 04/05. He returned to the middle position in 13/14 to current

Update 2: Comparing the results you can see that he won waaaay more when he switch to playing oppo. and now when he switched '13-current period you can see that he is still winning some competitions, but not as many as when he played oppo.

On the NT side, Fei played middle in 2004 olympics where Italy got silver. And i couldnt find any other NT info (maybe you could help here).

Also, Fei is not the only one, there is also Muserksky who played oppo. in the olympics and some club matches.

From tht angle, yeah, but the problem is: Maybe Mitar will continue to develop or not? Is up to the coach to decide. If they see potential, he will play opposite and improve... If he doesn't improve, the coaches will put him center, nothing else. ?

@Niamek: I think that he will just play oppo. for trento because the "Mitar Mitar period" ended when he left trento ('11-'13)and joined Halkbank. Now it seems that he wants to specialize in opp. Because he played it in turkey and then korea and now italy. He can do whatever he wants, but I think that trento can be better if he played middle (maybe they could have even won the CEV Cup just recently).
