Home team of China defeated Japan 3:0 (25:13, 25:20, 25:17) to extend their winning streak in World Grand Prix (Group H - Group 1) to eight matches. The biggest struggle in the Asian clash played in Hong Kong was seen in the second set as neither side could take more than a one-point lead. When China managed to edge ahead at 16:14 it proved to be a decisive point as they controlled the rest of the set and closed it out 25:20. Chunlei Zeng had 16 points in China while Miyu Nagaoka scored 11 in Japan.
