There was a first Bulgarian success after a few years without any medals on the international area. Before semi-final against Poland everyone in Bulgaria was very excited and there was a huge interest around the volleyball in that time. The biggest Bulgarian star in that tournament was Matey Kaziyski who get award for the best server. He was a player of Russian Dynamo Moscow in that season.

A niby dlaczego nie? Jak Hiszpania może wygrać ME, a my być 2 drużyną MŚ, o Bułgaria może wygrać. Brazylia przejdzie teraz rewolucje kadrową, Rosji nie nawidze, więc nawet nie przypuszczam, że coś wygrają, Polacy pod wodzą nowego trenera m ogą się stać Europejski średniakiem, a USA zagra dobrze dopiero na następnym IO.
