Russia won against two-time defending champions Brazil on the second day of the World Grand Prix Finals. Nataliya Goncharova led Russia with 24 points, followed by Alexandra Pasynkova with 14 points. Natalia Pereira scored 11 points and Monique Marinho Pavao added 10 points. Russia coach Yury Marichev said: "This match was easier. Today was important with our mental preparation. It helped us dominate in areas such as block and reception".
