AleNickel,it's "brat" in Bulgarian.When I go to Romania,I'll call everyone "frate" ))

I didn't say that I know Bulgarian, but that I might happen to understand randomly some words from a slavic language. There are similar words. For example, brother in Romanian is frate, and in Serbian is brate.

No I'm just curious if you know bulgarian as you said..
I think if I write it on Cyrillic you won't read it properly so you won't understand what I've written, right?
I can't speak it to you now, so...

@the 4 people who gave me minuses, I didn't mean to offend you, and I'm sorry if I did, but what I said it's true for the majority of the Romanians (except for the people from my parent's generation who studied Russian at school during the communist era). Romanian language is a Latin language (almost 90% of the vocabulary is of Latin origin) with Slavic/Turkish/Hungarian influences, so it's normal to understand only a few things in the Slavic languages and more in Latin languages like Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and so on.
@SkyloIoannes, Romanian children study Latin in school for at least one year in order to understand better the word formation in Romanian. I'm not sure if you asked that because you were curious or you wanted to make fun of me

raylight, Ken Lee was the icing on the cake. Romanian has a few thing in common with all the slavic languages, it's quite interesting how a latin language can interact with the balkan culture. but I still can't understand only a few words in Serbian/Bulgarian/Russian/Turkish, compared to Italian, where I understand almost everything

I am sure you will speak it better than Bulgarians. Our languages is close like vocabulary, but with a lot of words with different meaning and it leads to funny situatuons. Futhermore, a lot of Bulgarians are convinced they can talk Russian, but the grammar is totaly different (Bulgarian grammar is in linguistic union with Romanian, Albanian and Dimotiki/new Greek/ ) and the result is like Ken Lee
