The Club World Champion and one of the major candidate to win of Champions League 2014/15: Belogorie Belgorod, has been eliminated already in the first play-offs phase. They won 3:1 with Halkbank Ankara in the regular match, however, they were obligated to play the "golden set" due to losing the first game last week (1:3). The decisive set Turkish team won 15:11 and get the right to continue their campaign in Europe’s elite competition. Tsvetan Sokolov was the best scorer in the match with 24 points followed by his teammate Osmany Juantorena with 22 points. Sergey Tetyukhin and Dmitriy Muserskiy amassed 21 points each for Belogorie.
